ABOUT ME
I combine writing with multi-media, whether as visual art, video, home decor, or verbal tracks added to music. My passion is in exploring immersive dance and creative spaces as an art form, while my writing focuses on the beauty and transformative power of fear, failure and doubt, and how we can unite our raw humanity with a sense of divinity.
As an American with a French mom, my life has been influenced by the the rustic elegance of Provence and the timeless charm of stone villages. So when my two daughters were young, I took the leap of moving us to the South of France. What unfolded was a story fraught with a fair share of raw challenges alongside beauty, eventually leading to a life now settled by the Mediterranean Sea.
Through Raison d’Art Editions, I create books pairing Art with Words—intended to be read cover-to-cover and inspiring enough to keep on display and referred to over time. The very personal story behind the brand is shared in my first book, Eudaimonia (Greek for human flourishing) and is the art-filled story of my “Journey From Shadow to Art & Soul.” It endeavours to illuminate darkness for anyone finding themselves in their own shadowlands.
As a professional ghostwriter of autobiographies, I have honed the skill of capturing the unique “voice” of a person. This expertise is the backbone of my collection, The Whole Story, guided legacy journals designed to document other peoples’ own journeys. In keeping with the Raison d’Art brand, these are also filled with colorful illustrations throughout as a way of celebrating life.
Currently, I am working on a new memoir, Matrescence: The Baptism of Fire Named Motherhood. It is a deep dive into the fine details of universal transformation from woman to mother, exploring how the human frame grapples to embody the infinity of unconditional love.
EUDAIMONIA
My debut non-fiction book for adults, Eudaimonia, describes the dramas of moving to France, getting divorced and then lost in outward relationships. I share the cosmic revelations of studying consciousness while facing the challenges of a single mother and aiming to live my best life.

Applying my skills as a professional ghostwriter of autobiographies, and merging them with my passion for visual art, I’ve created these illustrated guided authobiography journals with a more modern aesthetic.
GISELE’S TIME OUT
Gisele’s Time Out is a children’s picture book series which takes young readers to France, India, Outer Space, and Nature. Other destinations are in progress, along with journeys into the shoes of historical legends, and the lives of common people in today’s world and eras gone by.
MATRESCENCE
I’m currently immersed in my second non-fiction manuscript, Matrescence, which takes on the epic task of describing the reality of motherhood, how it truly feels, what really comes up, all of which I wish I had known before going into it so untrained. I tried to prepare my daughters for the world, but it seems we each face a wilderness of our own, from inside our specific territory, within our individual skins, through the various realities we each face. My girls live their own stories, and theirs are not mine. I only rest in knowing they know love. And that I can attest their spirits are awake.
A saguaro cactus can live to be 65 years old before its first flowers appear, and 90 before the arms start to grow. If we were to ask the Saguaro for its instagram, there would be no proof that it has been in the process of blooming all along.
